When is the best time for a Tanzania safari?
Choose your dates around the experience you want. If the Great Migration is your priority, plan around the area you hope to visit and allow flexibility for wildlife movements. Explore our best time for Tanzania safari guide.
How many days should I spend on safari?
Two days can suit a short Tarangire and Ngorongoro trip. If Serengeti is a priority, allow extra time for transfers and at least one full day of game drives.
Which parks should I choose for my first safari?
Tarangire and Ngorongoro make a good pairing for a short northern Tanzania trip. Add Serengeti if you have more days and want time to explore its open plains.
Can I combine a safari with Kilimanjaro or Zanzibar?
Yes. You can add a safari after your Kilimanjaro climb or continue to Zanzibar afterward. Share your arrival and departure dates so we can plan transfers and build a comfortable itinerary.
On safari
What vehicle will we use?
Our private safaris use a 4×4 Land Cruiser with a pop-up roof for game viewing and photography.
Can I choose between camping and lodges?
Yes. Tell us your preferred comfort level and budget. We can quote camping, lodges, or tented camps depending on the route and availability.
Can children join a safari?
Yes. Share your children’s ages so we can suggest suitable properties, shorter driving days, and activities that fit your family.
Can you accommodate dietary requirements?
Share dietary requirements and allergies before booking so we can confirm what the camps, lodges, or safari cook can accommodate.
Preparing to travel
What should I pack for a safari?
Bring lightweight layers, a warm layer for early starts, comfortable shoes, sun protection, and a camera or binoculars. Use our Safari Packing List to prepare.
Where can I find visa and health information?
Start with our Tanzania entry guide and safari health guide. Confirm requirements for your passport and transit route before departure.
